For the past six years, la Fabrique has worked hard to establish itself as one of Tokyo`s most intimate and quality clubs …
With past guests ranging from artists as diverse as Tony Allen, the DFA, Questlove from the Roots, Peter Kruder, DJ Heather,
Franck Roger, Derrick May, Joachim Garraurd, and DJ Morpheus, la Fabrique has created a strong niche for itself as one of Tokyo`s most open-minded clubs,
as well as being able to consistently attract an international clientle …
After having the pleasure working with the club for the past five years, SOLID TOKYO has been honoured to produce events alongside such well-established
parties such as VANITY, BOOGIE NIGHTS, 50/50, MEDITERRANEAN VACANCE, VIP CLUB, TECHBOOTYFUNK, SEARCHIN, LONDON CALLING,
SOUL, EXIT 9, Fizz, and COSMOPOLITAN NIGHTS. Over the years, we`ve shared many memories with great artists, friends, music lovers, and most importantly
the hard-working staff of la Fabrique !
So, to celebrate the six year anniversary of this great club we have planned one of the most special nights of SOLID TOKYO we could possibly image -
A night of pure house music bliss courtesy of one the most respected DJs to emerge out of CHICAGO: James Curd from the Greenskeepers ! !
Emerging as a young DJ inspired by the second and third wave of Chicago house DJs, such as Mark Farina and DJ Sneak, James Curd was already holding down local residencies with legend Derrick Carter by the time he was 19 years old . As a member of the Classic Recordings group Greenskeepers, James was influential in helping to shape the now signature Chicago house sound, blending bebop jazz samples with jackin` beats . Gaining recognition for their energetic, raw live performances, James and the Greenskeepers were soon regular fixtures in some of the world`s most venerable clubs, such as Fabric in London and Home in Sydney. Critical acclaim also led to bookings on the electronic music festival circuit, including the Electric Picnic in Dublin and Lollapalooza in the US . As their popularity and fame base expanded worldwide, Greenskeepers released two full length albums of OM Records: “Pleetch” and “Polo Club.” The later saw rave reviews from various music and lifestyle media, hailing the album as a unique fusion of electronic rock . Recently releasing a string of solo releases on labels such as Drop, Guesthouse, and his own Greenskeepers Music, James has been getting back to his early Chicago house roots .
In town for one night only, James is going to rock the house for la Fabrique`s Seven Year Anniversary promising a memorable night celebrated by one of the most respected deep house parties in the world: SOLID TOKYO !
